About us

Flight Informatics is a fledgling company set up by Dr David Barry and Dr Matthew Greaves. Matt and David first met at Cranfield University, where Matt was running the flight data monitoring course and David was guest-lecturing while he was the Flight Safety Manager at bmi. During the following years, they worked together on multiple research projects involving operational safety data with a diverse range of clients.

David has a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Kingston University, an MSc in Aviation Safety Management from City University and a PhD from Cranfield University in using flight data to quantify risks in airline operations.

Matt has a Bachelors Engineering degree from Loughborough, an MSc by Research in Trajectory Analysis for Accident Investigation from Cranfield University and a PhD from Loughborough in Acoustics and Vibration in Gas Turbine Engines.
